Brennan Cannivet Declares his Independence from Florida Public Schools!

On this 233rd celebration day of our country declaring its independence, a Florida public school student declares his independence from a school system that bullied, punished, and pushed him out in retaliation for his parents’ education advocacy efforts.  But, Collier County Public Schools did NOT damper his desire, nor his commitment, to earn his high school diploma.

Brennan sends a message of encouragement to all students who may feel like giving up due to bureaucratic neglect, abuse or bullying, or from being bullied at school by other students.

Congratulations, Brennan!!  You are a hero and a shining beacon for those who think there is no hope.  The government schooling system is corrupt in too many areas in this country, and we need more young students such as yourself to speak up.  One of my children was verbally and emotionally abused and neglected because our advocacy on behalf of students with disabilities.  Our school has become a place where the only goal is to keep public funding at all costs - students have been thrown "under the bus" so adults can keep their paycheck.

Blessings to you!

Good for you! Most people just don't know how corrupt public schools are. Not only in special ed, but all departments. I have been thru bad things myself and have been helping people with these same problems for 10 years. Sad to say that until the schools are made to pay for their wrongdoing just like the rest of the free world, this will continue.  WE as  TAXPAYERS are paying these so called 'educators' their PAYCHECKS to do this to our OWN CHILDREN!!

Brennan, it is never easy to speak out in telling your story, but as you know when the going get's tough, the tough get's going!

life is unpredictable, you have to roll with the punches, just like Rocky. We are very proud of you, keep following your dreams til they come true.  You are the voice for all the children who has struggled just like you.   You will achieve your goals and more. The school district will not silence you, you are strong, keep going.  Good Job!

There are many of us working hard to expose the corruption in education, which I call White Chalk Crime and have tried to expose since 2002 at EndTeacherAbuse.org. However, nothing means more than having a student, our future, speak out about this. Hopefully, Brennan's courage will help unravel a political agenda so cunning that nothing else would or could unravel it. Let us all join together and unite to make this a grass roots movement that the powers that be cannot stop. Sign up at EndTeacherAbuse.org to be a voice to stop this corruption and we can make Brennan's sorrow evolve into something good. We hear about the bullied boys who committed suicide because they felt so helpless in the schools environment, which they indeed were, and now we hear about Brennan who chose a proactive stance. Let's show our children that the latter works so we will not have to endure the sadness of the former.
