- Categorized in: Press Releases on EducationNews.org
July 23 (Reston, VA)— On August 21 the National Wildlife Federation will release its Campus Environment 2008 Report Card. Grading colleges and universities on their sustainability efforts, the report card is the first comprehensive analysis of the greening of America's campuses since 2001.
With more than 1,068 campuses responding to a comprehensive survey, this study is the largest of its kind in the U.S. and provides valuable insight on nationwide trends. Though schools are not individually ranked, the report card identifies campuses with exemplary programs in specific areas ranging from operations to academic focus on environmental issues.
Check out how America's campuses have succeeded in becoming more eco-friendly, and learn about surprising trends leaving today's college graduates less environmentally informed than their counterparts seven years ago. Scheduled for release on August 21, the National Wildlife Federation's Campus Environment 2008 Report Card will reveal whether or not America's colleges and universities make the grade in sustainability!
