Grades turn-around puts heat on state

This will come as no surprise, but experts who judge government performance are not all that impressed with Florida. A study by the Pew Research Center released this week gave Florida a B- for its overall performance. That's pretty good, but not exactly scholarly for a state that in the past few years has raised the ire of administrators, teachers and students by making FCAT testing and grading of schools the holy grail of performance.
