This note came via email from Lynn Wade, Hillsborough County, Tampa, Florida, from Marie Whelan. While we rarely ask for this kind of testimony, as you can well imagine, her words are an affirmation that the Haberman Foundation is providing a valuable resource to the schools, nationally, by providing the research-based Star Teacher Selection Interviewand Star Administrator Selection training. With permission from Ms. Whelan, we wanted to share her thoughts! Made our day, week, month, and year! Thanks Ms. Whelan. The children will thank you too! Delia Stafford

Lynn,
I just had to share this with you. On Thursday I had an interview scheduled with a teacher for our Read 180 position. We had spoken on the phone and she commented she only wanted to work in an urban school. I have to be honest, this is not usually the case for me. When I met with her Thursday I told her I was going to use an instrument I had been trained with the day before and wanted to practice. Well, let me tell you she is a STAR! I told Carl even if we have to interview 1,000 people we are only hiring STARs! Thanks, Lynn, the training was great and put right into action for me.
Respectfully,
Marie Whelan
